Being accountable is a key part of sport, a key part of business and vital in our efforts to make better decisions for Planet.
In sport, keeping track of the numbers is easy - the scoreboard does it for you. That’s why we’ve committed to being transparent - letting our community know not just what we’re doing but where we can do better.
We document everything we make - allowing us to measure our total business impact and identify where we can improve. The hylo Light’s unique barcode gives us all the information we need to calculate our carbon footprint and keep track of the materials used enabling us to remain accountable to our community. We aren’t about making big claims for 2050 - we’re living and improving in the present.
In July 2021, we announced our membership to the Sustainable Apparel Coalition because we wanted to put objectivity at the heart of our decision-making process. The SAC is the apparel, footwear, and textile industry’s leading alliance for sustainable production.
The Coalition has a suite of tools that standardises how industry members measure environmental and social labour impacts - making it easier for brands to make better decisions for Planet.
Reporting gives us a record of where we’re at, how we can improve and how we have improved. We produce regular public-facing docs to keep score on our performance.
Hylo for Planet is our holistic sustainability framework - it sets out our vision for the future of sport and how Hylo will contribute towards this.
Each year, we produce an Impact Report covering the ways we’ve sought to have a positive impact - in business, in sport and for Planet.
We aim to do everything within our reach to make sure modern slavery is eliminated.
Our Supply Chain Standards outlines our requirements for all our suppliers and manufacturers. It highlights our values and what we consider to be fair and appropriate business practices.
